A Plus Cleaning Pros COVID-19 Plan

When COVID-19 emerged

in Wuhan, China back in 2019, no one could have guessed the global impacts. But it only took months for the virus to spread across the world and over a year after, the whole world is still reeling from its effects. At its peak, it led to lockdowns all over the world and even now, many countries are still in one form of a lockdown or the other. Fortunately, Australia has been able to curb the spread of the virus, and to a large extent, it is one of the few countries where one can say the virus is completely under control. Nothing points to this truth more than statistics. In Queensland, the new cases within the last 24 hours, leading to January 24, 2021, is 4 while the total number of cases is 1287. So far, 6 lives have been lost to the virus. One of the things that helped in the control of the virus is the high rate of testing and contact tracing. In Queensland, over 1.6 million tests have been conducted, and the number is expected to increase.

If the pandemic has had any positive effects, it is that it has made us more conscious of our health. The spread of the COVID-19, a disease with symptoms similar to flu or cold, has necessitated the need to pay more attention to our environment and ensure our homes are in a clean state. A dirty carpet can be host to pollutants, germs, and other pathogens which can be harmful to you. This is why carpet cleaning is important now than it has ever been. At A Plus Cleaning Pros, our customers and staff’s safety is a high priority, that’s why we have put up a Covid-19 plan to deal with the challenges of a time like this and safeguard the well-being and health of customers and staff. The steps we have taken to minimise and prevent Covid-19 spread include;

Strict Hygiene Procedures

We follow strict hygiene practices with every member of staff and with all our equipment as well. All staff have been trained in how to mitigate the risk of transmission.

Sick staff requires medical practitioner clearance to return to work

Any of our team members who show Symptoms similar to that of COVID-19 is required to stay off work and must be cleared by a medical practitioner before they can return.

Screening Customers

We also screen customers over the phone when they make bookings to determine if they have had contact with someone who has coronavirus or being outside the country in the last5 14 days. For those who have been in contact with someone who has covid-19, we postpone booking until after clearance by a medical practitioner or completion of self-isolation, and for those who have travelled outside the country, they have to wait for 14 days before our services.
